A former shipyard located on the banks of the River IJ in Amsterdam Noord, the NDSM Wharf has blossomed into an enormous hotspot in recent years. The building right at the entrance of this area (by boat) used to be office space, canteen and ship assembly hall in the 1950’s for the warf.
In this industrial building Ex Machina group has their
( Amsterdam) offices.
First on the second floor but in 2018 this space was too small for the growing company and they got an extra floor. This empty open space needed renovating and a new floorpan.
The owners wanted to keep the beautiful view on the water and the industrial feeling of the building.
IJzersterk interiordesign in collaboration with Geheniau Interior, created 5 large offices, a recording studio, a kitchen and a small patio. A complete plan for the renovation and remodeling was made, including flooring, materials, furniture,
wall coverings and light.
